An Awareness Seminar on ‘The Management Of Solid Waste’ was organized at Scholars Public School on 9th November 2020. Owing to the rising concerns of the improper disposal of municipal waste which has a serious and dangerous impact on a wide range of areas. Our Honourable Guest Mr. Ashwini Kumar , Deputy Director of Urban Local Bodies, Patiala , highlighted the challenges associated with the waste management and problems faced by urban local bodies in waste disposal where urbanization, industrialization and high population density has increased the municipal solid waste per person. School Director, Mrs. Sudesh Joshi expressed her gratitude to our worthy guests for sensitizing about this critical situation and felt privileged to volunteer in such a social cause. She also motivated the audience to spread awareness regarding our roles and responsibilities and thus contribute towards a sustainable environment.
