On October 9th, 2024 the students of classes One to Five embarked on an exciting and educational excursion to Indus Valley. It was designed to provide a hands-on learning experience outside the classroom. The outing was part of curriculum’s efforts to blend academics with real-world exposure, enhancing the students’ understanding and an interaction with their environment.

The day began with an enthusiastic gathering at 8:30 am where students boarded the buses, eager to explore the day’s destination. Upon arrival at Indus Valley they were welcomed with warm breakfast. The children had in guide or staff at the location, who provided an overview of the day’s activities. The excursion included several highlights.

Students participated in different activities that were designed to foster learning objective. They had adventure activities to build up the confidence. The final activity involved more interactive or hands-on experience, where students worked in teams .This encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity, making the learning process enjoyable and memorable. Throughout the day, students were highly engaged, asking insightful questions and participated actively in all discussions. Finally they relished their favourite delicacies in lunch. The environment sparked curiosity as all of the students expressed their joy in the form of dancing on tune. The day concluded with a group reflection session, where students shared their thoughts and what they had learned. The excursion was not only educational but also a fantastic bonding experience for the students, providing an opportunity for them to connect outside the typical classroom setting.

The excursion was a great success. It achieved its objective of enhancing students’ learning through real-world exposure while promoting collaboration, curiosity, and critical thinking. We look forward to more such enriching experiences in the future.
