Keeping the spirit of – International Yoga Day alive all across the world, Scholars public school Rajpura organized Yoga Sessions for the students on 21st June 2019. Notwithstanding the fact that the school was observing summer vacation, a total of 100 students took part in the session.
The students were educated on the importance of Yoga. They were explained that yoga helps in maintaining not only physical and mental health but also a healthy social life.
The students were taught various Aasanas starting with warming up and stretching followed by the series of Padmasana, Paschimottasans, Pawan Muktasana, Vajrasana, Dhanurasana, Chakrasana, Sarvangasana, Halasana, Bhujangasana, and ending with Shavasana.After Asanas session students were also taught the Pranayama – For Longevity. Addressing the students on the occasion, the Principal appealed to the students to include yoga in their daily routine for its wholesome and salubrious effects on the mind, body and soul.
