Basant Panchami was celebrated with gaiety and religious fervour at Scholars Public School, Rajpura.
The celebrations commenced with ‘Saraswati Pujan’ for seeking the blessings of Goddess of Knowledge and Wisdom. Students recited beautiful poems on Basant and melodiously sang the song for the occasion - ‘Hey veena Vadini Mata vidya do Ma Vidya do.’ Children came beautifully attired in yellow dresses.
They danced on the melodious song - Saraswati Vandana. Students also offered spring flowers to Goddess Saraswati and enjoyed yellow food. The School Director Ms. Sudesh Joshi said that the festival signifies happiness and comes to brighten up our lives and bless us with the joys that last throughout the year
