As a part of 32nd Road Safety Campaign, “A Road Safety” Workshop, was organised at Scholars Public School, Rajpura ,on 1st February,2021, themed ‘Sadak Surakhsha Jeevan Raksha’ by Distt. Traffic Police Inspector Ms. Pushpa Devi (Incharge Road Security Education Cell, Patiala) to create awareness about road safety and traffic rules. With the aim to sensitize the students about important road etiquettes she said that we must follow traffic rules in true sense so that we can minimize the alarming number of road accidents.
As a responsible citizen of the society, we should never drive our vehicles beyond prescribed speed limit and most importantly we should wear seat belts and helmets because with such negligence we not only kill ourselves but also kill innocent people.She also showed various road signs and explained their significance.
School Director, Ms Sudesh Joshi, also shared her views and expressed her firm belief that by following these small things, we can make a big difference in solving the problem of traffic and road accidents in our society. She appreciated the efforts put in by the administration and assured that the students of Scholars will always follow the traffic rules and will maintain safety for one and all. Mr. Manjit Singh, ASI, Traffic Police, Rajpura, was also present on the occasion.
